BrixhamWilliam of Orange landed here in 1688, now it's mainly fish and tourists. It's a busy little town with tightly grouped
shops, cafes and attractions including the Brixham Heritage Museum and a replica of Drake's Golden Hind.
Turn left at the seafront and there's a woodland walk which passes an old WWII battery position then dips down to a series of coves: Fishcombe, Churston, Elberry and Broadlands. A right turn at the seafront brings you to Berry Head and the Napoleonic fort. Brixham is a nice place to spend a day out. |map| |next attraction| |
