Eling Tide MillWhen the tide comes in it fills the lagoon you see in the picture. When the tide goes out, water is released from the
lagoon powering the mill's water wheel. So they ground the wheat twice a day whatever the hour!
Eling still works and still produces flour.
Across the road there's a tea room attached to the Heritage Centre - an interesting little museum. Handy car park just south of the mill - see map. Pleasant walk along the river. Eling is a nice place for a low key afternoon. |map| |next attraction| |
