Explosion - Naval Firepower MuseumIn 1777 the Navy built a gunpowder magazine at Priddy's Hard, Gosport.
The site remained operational - making naval shells in WWII - until late in the 20th century.
It's now a museum telling the story of naval guns and explosives.
You probably have to be interested in guns to appreciate the museum - if you are you'll like the collection of guns, bombs, mines and torpedoes. Always wanted to see and touch a nuclear bomb? There's one here - it's surprisingly small. |map| |next attraction|
