Hartland AbbeyThere's a shrubbery garden, hillside bog garden and walled garden to explore, and a nice walk down to the beach too.
Allow a couple of hours to do all that at a gentle pace.
The rather fine house, which opens a couple of hours later than the gardens, is still lived in by descendants of
Henry VIII's wine cellar keeper.
Half way to the beach, branch off into the woods and go to the beach via the gazebo and the woodland walk. If you've got time left in the day, you could go on to Hartland Quay and perhaps also pop into Docton Mill. |map| |nearby attraction| |
