LanhydrockThis is what you join the
National Trust
for.
Lanhydrock is a glorious 17th century house that was refurbished with all mod cons in the 1880s.
Its takes a couple of hours to see all the rooms, from kitchens and servants' quarters to master bedroom and
the long gallery with its powerful Steinway and sometimes-resident pianist.
There are lovely walks through the gardens and woods, a restaurant and outdoor cafe. Try the lemon curd Callestick ice cream. What a shame this country is now so overcrowded there is no room for the mega-rich to build places like this any more. |map| |nearby attraction| |
