Mary RoseYou won't be able to see the Mary Rose again until 2011 - they're building a new visitor centre around her.
She was Henry VIII's flagship and sank in the Solent during a battle with the French as Henry looked on horrified.
She heeled over in a turn and flooded.
Since she was raised in 1982 the ship has been constantly sprayed to saturate her timbers with resin so that when she is eventually dried out she won't rot. It'll be nice to see her in 2011 without the spray fog. The Mary Rose Museum, which displays the ship's contents, remains open. We won that battle with the French, of course. |map| |next attraction|
