Pendine Sands

The World Land Speed record was set at Pendine Sands in the 1920s and for decades it was home to motor sport of all kinds. The small museum on the beach tells the story of the many record attempts. |more days out| 

You can take your car onto the beach when the MOD allows. Up until the 1980s you could crank it up to max, do doughnuts - whatever you fancied. Now? The beach has a speed limit of 10mph. Really. |map| |next attraction|
