Sir Harold Hillier GardensThe gardens are extensive - larger than
Furzey
though not quite on the scale of
Exbury.
This is a gardeners' garden: there are no mazes, witty fountains, follies or suchlike to divert or distract,
unless you count the tree house.
There are roads on two sides of the gardens with consequent background traffic noise in some areas. There's a pleasant tea room up by "magnolia avenue" as well as a rather more industrial cafe in the entrance building. Plenty of secluded benches for picnics etc. |map| |nearby attraction| |
