Torre AbbeyTorre Abbey was founded in 1196 and after being dissolved by Henry VIII was converted into a house.
Later it was further developed such that from some angles you'd never guess its age.
The recently restored basement is unashamedly abbey - including traces of original paint - while the upper floors constitute a fine Georgian house with fine art and carvings to match. In the garden there's a palm house and a greenhouse with some impressive cacti. |map| |next attraction| |
